The Punjab University has announced the schedule for the online classes from November 25, 2020 to 24th December 2020, after which winter vacations will be held.

Authorities of the Punjab University have issued this policy in light of government orders due to an increase in the number of novel coronavirus cases.

Online classes have been scheduled for all students of the bachelor’s and master’s level. The schedule of the online classes is devised till 24th December and from 25 December 2020, the winter vacations will start. As per the instructions of the National Command and Operation Center, the educational institutes across Pakistan will remain closed till 10th January 2021.

In a press statement, PU spokesman Khuram Shahzad said that the Deans’ Committee chaired by the Vice-Chancellor has decided that the university will remain closed for students from November 26, 2020, and the face to face/physical classes of BS and MA/M.Sc. will be shifted to online mode.

Moreover, students will be provided with the syllabi of the subjects and relevant books on a top priority basis. Course materials and recorded lecturers should be mailed/emailed/uploaded to maximize the learning outcome of the students.
