Default The Best Source To Make Electricity

The*significance of electricity is utmost necessary for everyone to live modern life in the world causing every country to generate cheaper electricity from best source. 1 billion people are still living without electricity in the world. Challenges such as climate change, pollution and environmental destruction require us to change the way we generate electricity.

A carbon source is anything that releases more carbon in the atmosphere than it absorbs, for instance burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil and gas), that’s why we need to avoid making electricity from such sources.

However, over the past century, the main energy sources used for generating electricity have been fossil fuels( like coal, gas, oil), hydroelectricity and, since the 1950s, nuclear energy. Despite the strong growth of renewables over the last few decades, fossil-based fuels remain dominant worldwide. Their use for electricity generation continues to increase in both absolute and relative terms: in 2017, fossil fuels generated 64.5% of worldwide electricity, compared with 61.9% in 1990. Source of solar panels is likewise being preferred to make electricity.

The best source is coal to generate cheaper electricity. China and India have been using coal as the best source to make electricity.*China, the world’s biggest coal burner and greenhouse gas emitter, used 5.24 billion tonnes*of standard coal equivalent of energy last year, up 5.2% from 2020.

In India, major production of Electricity is achieved through coal a thermal power plant which is around 75%*of the total power generation. India’s total power generation in Dec 2020 stood at 103.66 billion units, according to data realised by the Central Electricity Authority.

In Pakistan, electricity has been the most significant issue causing power disruprion around 10 to 12 hours in the country every year. Pakistan can’t have found the best source to make electricity so as to end scarcity of electricity and load shedding. People have gotten infuriated because of load shedding in Pakistan. They profoundly want such regime whose politicians help resolve this long lasting issue.

Oil is imported from the Middle East mainly Saudi Arabia, gas from Iran. In addition, Pakistan is consuming Liquefied National Gas (LNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and coal. Pakistan has currently, 4 power plants with a total capacity of 755 MW; additional 3 under construction.

Like China and India, Pakistan should make electricity from coal. Pakistan has so many natural resources, one of them is coal. Pakistan needs to use coal to make electricity and should discover more coal resources through a search. Besides Pakistan should import coal so as to complete its necessity.
