In the hour of crises, the government seems numb with its eyes shut and ears deaf to the outcries of the masses and the hard times of calamity and misery the people in the country have been going through, with the prime minister tinged with psychological disposition of establishing his credential without being actually deserving of it.
During his visit to New Delhi the prime minister was so fascinated by seeing the brodinaginian flag flown there that he directed the CDA to hoist the same gigantic flag on a 200 foot flagpole in Islamabad without any tinge of cogitation that conditions of Indians socially, economically and politically is far better and stabler than ours.
The operation Zarbe Azab launched in North Waziristan to root out the scourge of militancy is underway with the law and order situation in the entire country in a shambles.
The region has been turned into an inferno for the minorities to ultimately take asylum to another country on account of the persecutions and ransoms, sometimes on the grounds of blasphemy and in most cases for ransom.
Poverty, unemployment, and starvation have engulfed the region with the downtrodden poor compelled to make both ends and meet even at the expense of honor of their daughters and sisters. Besides, owning to the short-sided policies of the government, inflation has further added fuel to flame to the woes of the poor, bereft of the toxicant to even commit suicide. Further, making mockery of the sufferings of the people, the firebrand Maulana Qadri with the faux eventuality of the so-called revolution is attempting to plunge the state into the heaps of crises.
Mr. Prime Minister, will hoisting a huge flag appease the hunger of the starved or will make a difference to those who have not had their stoves on for many days, or will it serve as Aladdin’s lamp to restore peace and order in the state? My humbles solicitation to you is to for God’s sake do something practical and concrete to redress the grievances of the people in lieu of acting like Sher Shah Suri. --Islamabad

Persecuted Minorities:

The current bleak state of affairs into which the minorities have been squeezed to live is ostensibly indicative of the fiasco of the major articles of constitution esp. 20 to 36, posing a grave question mark on the writ of the government which has miserably failed to ensure security to the life and assets of minority classes on an equal and rightful footing.
Since the get-go of the year, there have been heaps of reported incidents, say 28, of minorities targeted and crucified sometimes on the ground of alleged blasphemy and in most cases for penny, while the law enforcement agencies seem impotent and numb, throwing them to wolves to be plundered, brutalized, persecuted and forced into exodus. The above figure dearly manifolds if such cases of barbarism in Sindh in general and in Jacobabad in particular are taken into account.
The abductions for ransom, forced conversions, forced marriages, and cold-blooded murders for unidentified motives are a few of many heinous atrocities committed against the non Muslims and the thing worth lamenting is the savage manslayers left at large are brazenly aided and abetted and then fully sheltered by the ‘Sardar Sain”, the de facto D.C and S.P of districts of most interior Sindh, on whose tune the district authorities dance.
Mr. Jinnah vehemently reiterated that holy places of non-Muslims would be given as equal a protection as they have in India. But contrarily and remorsefully neither do they feel the sense of security to live of their own accord nor are their places of worship protected. A number of instances where temples and churches, etc have abominably desecrated and set ablaze, are a slur upon the charter of fundamental rights of the constitution.
Religious-cum-racial intolerance coupled with extremism has been the last straw that breaks the camel’s back, thus compelling me to say today we are where Nazis stood 70 years back.

Gaza & Muslim World:

As per the recent reports, the death toll resulted in by more than 750 heinous aerial attacks on Gaza within a short span of time has exceeded 150, with the figure of the injured as many as five hundred (500), most of whom are reported to be minors and women has cast a slur upon the U.N, its constituent organs and the protagonism of human rights by the so-called Western block and above all upon the apathetic and numb Muslim world for not turning a hair over the genocide in Gaza, setting aside the Islamic spirit of fraternity.
Islam enjoins upon the believers not to shut their eyes on the wrong done to even a non-Muslim, and this is the true picture of ‘Jihad’ the Muslims have been directed to wage against the barbarism committed against the “Humans” to establish to the rule of peace on the humanitarian grounds.
By being a third party in such a grave strait of onslaught, the Muslim countries have not merely put to the world the impression that they are fragmented among themselves, but have documented the long-held notion of serving as cat’s paw or just puppets having dance attendance on the big powers.
Today, our plight as ‘Ummah’ is in the sorry state of affairs, and we seem to have lost the belief in the unique ideals and the glory of our religion. This fact is further attested to by the stance the Muslim world has brazenly taken on the last straw that breaks the camel’s back, which otherwise presupposes the Muslim countries to raise great hue and cry on the international forums against the monster manslayer Israel to force it to halt the naked aggression and brute slaughter of heaps of guiltless masses, but remorsefully not a single cogent word of resistance as a condemnation or protest has been lodged. All this compels me to question: “Are we Muslims still s mass body, any part of which if gets hurt, the entire body subsequently gets into restlessness and pain?”--Islamabad

Ramzan Shows:

Regrettably,the holy Ramzan, the month bringing boons for the Muslims to beg pardon for their sins committed throughout the year, and earn the satisfactoriness of God by spending the most of their time in worship, remembrance and supplication to God, as usual has brazenly been commoditized by the buffoons and so-called religious scholars together under the guise of religion solely for their self gains of minting penny.
Whenever one happens to switch T.V on, the acrobats and self-proclaimed religious scholars sitting with unveiled women having put on brobdingnagian makeup on their faces and dressed up immodestly appear not to uphold the sanctity of the holy month even one iota by turning the sacred moments of Iftar and Sahar people miss out owning to their rapt engrossment in the TV shows and which otherwise deserve to be fully benefitted from in winning God’s mercy, into a circus, Neelam Ghar and commoditization.
What matter most are not sap-headed TV hosts ostensibly so reacting as to be well versed in Islamic knowledge, but are the Ulemas, the guardians of faith, seen on air endorsing the breach of norms by the scholar-hosts by being part of such indecorous carnival projecting the Muslims unfavorably.
My humblest solicitation to them is to For Heaven’s sake, be cognizant of the onus on your shoulder, or else we will be compelled to cry: “ In the morning, devotions…” I shall not quote it full. (Zuhad Aur Rindi; Allma Iqbal)-- Islamabad

Muslim block

A few days back, an MPA of the Muslim League-Q from Balochistan Assembly asserted the need for the formation of a joint Muslim-block on the line of NATO for the pursuance of the joint line of action to preserve their geo-strategic and politico-economic interests and to face up the challenges confronting the Muslim world, especially, in the third world.

The proposal carries much weight as far as its practicability is there from the perspective of the current scenario of prodigious crises the Muslim Countries today are clogged with. It seems imperatively a last-ditch attempt to fend off any further decay to the Muslim polities and the Islamic morale of universality. More significantly the victimization of the Muslim countries, extending over their resources, capital and territory at the hands of the exploitatory ‘big powers’ bent upon wielding an axe to the roots of the Muslims, demands concerted efforts on the part of Muslim countries.

The necessity for such a block is terribly vindicated by the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the indiscriminate bloodshed of the Kashmiri Muslims and of the Muslims living as a microscopic minority in any corner of the globe.

If the Western countries, viz USA, Britain, France, Canada etc, despite mutual venom can follow a joint course then why can’t we, the Muslims when doing so is something injected in our DNA by Islam, forging an enviable wholeness of the Muslims, no big deal, whatever territorial, racial or linguistic differences they may have ?

A NATO-like alliance comprising of all the Muslim countries needs to be set up to fight-off jointly in case of an assault against any of its members, and the joint bank on the pattern of IMF and World Bank with affluent Muslim bankers, capitalists, etc transferring to it whatever capital of theirs is accumulated in the western banks to beef up the Muslim states economically without licking the dust of the super powers, It appears to be the only panacea for the Muslim world to frustrate the nefarious designs of the usurpers and to throw off the shackles of yoke and savagery.

Gullu Butt’s regime

There can scarcely be any mortal in the country, not knowing Gullu Butt, and his melodramatic farce engineered outside the Minhaj ul Quran Headquarter, exposing the dangerous feats of Gullu to the nation. As per the reports, Gullu bearing the brunt of what he did, is likely to be subjected to stern legal action. But charging and bringing to the book just one Gullu will by no means make a difference even a bit when the country is rampant of such sinister Gullus enwrapped in nefarious designs without coming to the fore.

The same detestable role of a bunch of Gullus in education department in interior Sindh generally and in Jacobabad particularly, is wreaking a great mayhem to the education infrastructure in the garb of unions, I would endeavour to highlight here. The unions, once founded in a good faith to facilitate the teachers to put forward in an organized manner their woes and jeremiads to the higher authorities for their grievances to be redressed forthwith, lamentably have turned out to be “Mafia” of certain scoundrels and conscienceless elements, I feel not shame-faced to call a abominable blot on the prophetic profession.

The reason why education in Sindh, particularly in Jacobabad district, is lying in tatters while teachers are pretty reluctant to bother to impart to the students an iota of knowledge, to make their bread-and-butter lawful, is unequivocally the undue and the unjustifiable activism and interference of unions for their foul objectives. They illicitly exert influence preponderantly in case of Jacobabad, so much so appointments ranging from Headmaster / Principal to Peon are made at their behest, leaving educational sector at helm of inept sycophant administrators.

In Jacobabad, day to day strikes, shut downs of institutions, illegal and bogus appointments, institutional inefficiency, nepotism, corruption, bribery and usurpation of the rights of the deserving as in the case of recent PST NTS-based vacancies halted despite a candidate with 91 marks, are the astounding features to the credit of Gullus. More notably, Gullus beget Gullus, subverting the mentality of teachers accustomed to teaching, to take wages sans duty. Increasing budget for education sector or recruiting more teachers to raise the deteriorated standard of education is not going to work wonders if government is not serious in putting to the end the rascality and hooliganism of these so-called Gullus, leaves them unchecked at their will to act the way they like.
