Default India in flux

A column by Nauman Ahmad!
India having fiendish instinct to grab Security Council seat is hell bent to make strategic partnerships with big powers .All these nauseatic efforts are being done in order to strengthen its position as the best candidate for the ‘seat’. A strong India is not a threat for any country, except Pakistan, not even china. India’s earnest desire to acquire the status of Asian Tiger has created mayhem in its neighbors especially Pakistan which is extremely exasperated over Indian’s ill plans. Succinct view of this sordid story pulls Pakistan’s leg to overcome its internal weaknesses in order to cope with challenges, put forward by stronger and greater India.
World today is more willing to make strategic partnership with India. Several factors make India the best candidate for this seat. Firstly India has the world’s second largest population, capable of human resource to cope with any challenge. Secondly India’s hold on Indian Ocean through its strengthened military power. Thirdly India’s economy is increasing day by day and it has world’s best industrial infrastructure which lures immense foreign investment.
India’s recent dialogue with Japan is beneficiary for India in several ways including an offer to explore rare earth elements (REE), cooperation in civic nuclear energy , cooperation in industrial sector and most importantly joint military exercises in order to contain China. India’s vehement plans to become permanent member of UN Security Council, its vaulting ambition to contain China and its heterodox and derogatory foreign policy for Pakistan, are tottering the regional stability. Ruminating the comparison between Pakistan and India, one can construe that Pakistan contained India in the race of nukes but couldn’t cope in the lethargic race of economic development.
Ambidextrous minds of western powers, today, are limiting their nukes deterrence to a reasonable extent and they are putting more efforts in economic interdependent development because they have realized that economic strength is premonitory of safe future. Iniquitous US_INDIA civil nuclear deal, travesty of US’s mantra of fair dealing, impinging incendiary effects on Pakistan .It is not a good vibe for US-Pakistan strategic partnerships which is already shakened by recent tension between Islamabad and Washington leading the incident of NATO forces attack on Pakistan border security forces. West, frantic over China’s growing economy, have made ploy to strengthen India to contain china. Several factors put barrier in India’s dream of being the big power; a mirage .India needs to resolve its territorial disputes with Pakistan and China .infringement of rights of Kashmir people should be abolished. Haughty attitude with its minorities should be coped with a policy of harmony.
Pakistan needs fervid support of its own internal card holders to strengthen it economy .Pakistan‘s economic success depends , inter Alia , welfare of its people .there is a dire need to get rid of feudalistic system and it should be replaced by power sharing mechanism. Procrastination of democracy will have deleterious effects upon already devastated economy. Pakistan needs economic deterrence, not the deterrence of nukes to cope with greater India.
