Is Mr. Qureshi’s statement is last nail in PPP Govt. ark?
Dear fellows,
Your valuable comments are needed to elaborate the current scenario for PPP government. ISLAMABAD: Former foreign minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi said the US employee Raymond Davis doesn't enjoy blanket immunity as sought by the US, Geo News reported. He was addressing the media after meeting with the US Senator John Kerry. Qureshi said the meeting was arranged on the senator's request. Senator Kerry was a friend of Pakistan, he opined. 'Pakistan and America need each other's help.' The issue of killing two Pakistani citizens in Lahore in broad daylight by a US embassy employee has become a matter of national respect, he added. Qureshi said that I was instructed to stay quit on the burning issue. Addressing the press conference, former minister said the foreign office had briefed him on January 31st that the blanket immunity that the US was demanding for Raymond Davis could not be provided. |

If issue of Rymond has reached to this level, its only because of weak diplomacy. Pakistan must have compelled America to lift immunity, what America did when Georgian diplomat committed same sin. Pakistan foreign office should have made it clear to America that Pakistan's public is very much reactionary towards America, they would never want their government to forgive an American criminal, you should lift his diplomatic immunity, our courts will try him, if He did it in self defense, he will b freed otherwise he will be prosecuted.
We should make it clear on America that Vienna convention is not the only Convention to be followed there are many other conventions like Geneva convention on international law which is violated by America itself. By violation of Pakistan's sovereignty through Drone attacks. By violation of law for humanitarian treatment of the victims of war, in Guantanamo Bay. Let's answer in an equal tone. America can't afford to distort its relations with Pakistan especially at a junction when he is badly trapped in Afghanistan. so Pakistan should withstand American pressure otherwise government may manage to win American favor but would face a strong or may be lethal opposition from public.

Long way!
America knows the bare bones of truth haunting pakistan for the last many years; it knew what the reaction of the people would be but still it didn't avoid pushing the matter from bad to worse.
we need to admit that's how superpowers talk and behave and treat inferior countries. It all boils down to: "Might is Right." Without admitting the truth that we have a long way to go in terms of economics, technology, trade, we cannot really develope into a nation, and cannot progress from our current position of weakness. We celebrate Independence Day every year but are we really independent? That's the question which should better be left unanswered at the moment for its potential to evoke a huge negative emotional response.

Basically America is following the ideology of Master and Slave with Pakistan. Simple is that Pakistani government also serving America as slave, instead of showing the power, at least this is very necessary for Pakistan to make them understand that the aid which is giving by America is not only for pursuing the objective of Pakistan, basically this aid is (what so ever), for achieving the goals of America, Pakistan should take stand to restrict its strategic aid for US militants in Afghanistan. Even, America wraths Pakistan just like a child (last day statement of Obama). I believe Pakistan has the hidden force to give tough time to such biased friends.
On the other hand is china, which recently injected the soul of $375 billion in the dead economy of Pakistan, but I don’t think so that she asked for anything except good friendship just in the favor of Pakistani nation.Pakistan should maintain worth full friendship with china for longer aptitude. Second largest economy of the world is considering Pakistan to be friend and Pakistani politicians (onboard and off board) are bagging to US. And now according to recent statistics china needs only a decade to be stand at first. If the strategies of Pakistani government do not change, nothing will remain for Pakistan except munching their nails….

China not a true friend
Quote:
My suggestion: Pakistan should have good relations with all but without trusting anyone for its national security.
