With the fall of a cruel despot, Akbar Bugti, the downtrodden people of Dera bugti have heaved a sigh of relief. A spectre, hitherto haunting the deserts and mountains of Blochistan, has been exorcized with the sermon of gun. In 1965 the Armed Forces of Pakistan saved the country from the Indian aggression. They have now rescued the forlorn victims of Bugti’s barbarities and provided them with an opportunity to breathe in an atmosphere free from fear and fright.
Akbar Bugti, ,a medieval abomination and reincarnation of wampire enjoyed the sips of human blood. He contaminated the sacred waters of civilized society with the pollution of cruelty and barbarity. While referring to the ravages of Hilaku and Changez Khan the historian will not err the omission of portraying the gloomy picture of Bugti’s crimes against humanity. This mean sadist was absolutely devoid of even the slightest trace of clemency and compassion. He killed the people because, according to him, he had nothing else to do. This man looking heartless creature murdered his real uncle Haibat Khan just because he objected to his(Bugti) illicit relations with a Swiss girl. At the age of 12 years this brute cannibal killed his domestic servant for the simple reason that he did not like his face. A tribesman who approached Bugti for the revenge against the murder of his brother was shot dead by him (Bugti) with the inhumane observation that “the man who cannot evenge the murder of his brother has no right to live”. The lurid tales of Bugti’s sanguine brutalities will be narrated by the elderly people to frighten their children.
He tested his marksmanship on the bodies of the poor tenants. He was an embodiment of scorn and hatred with rabid aversion to all that is human. The impurity of feed, sucked by him in the lap, caused his transformation from man to monster. The lullaby sung to him in the cradle seems to have been composed to ignite his innate savagery, cruelty and sadism. The tribesmen were required to bow obsequiously before this demi-god. He did not allow any court to function in his palatinate. All the criminal as well as civil cases were heard and adjudicated by Bugti. The Pakistan Penal Code was not allowed to be invoked and the trash disgorged by this demon was considered to be the law of the land. No one had the temerity to question the authority of this absolute. Even the widely trumpeted Heavy Mandate could not chain this ugly monster and the extortion and cruelty continued unabated to the detriment of supreme national interest.
As an irreverent infidel he passed sarcastic and sacrilegious remarks against Divine Commandments. This detestable apostate did not say prayers because it requires him to bow. He did not allow the recitation of the Holly Quran during the “nikah ceremony” because, he argued, there was no need of this “exercise” after both sides had consented to be man and wife. An accused who did not plea guilty of the offence was required to walk on the burning coals to prove his innocence. For minor offences the head, mustaches and eye-brows of the guilty were shaved beside blackening his face. The cutting of ears and nose, pulling the nails out of the fingers, branding and bruising the body of “culprit” with burning cigarette buts and countless other hair-raising punishments were awarded to the oppressed “slaves” including unleashing of hungry dogs on the “disobedient and insolent” tribesmen. He forced the starving victims of abject poverty to live under sub-human conditions. The poor and pregnant women of “slaves” carried water from a distant pond full of filth and bacteria. Those who differed with him were, either, shot dead or fettered to rot and die peak and pine in his private torture cells which had devoured thousands of slaves to the criminal connivance and reticence of the so-called pious preachers of Islam. Bugti operated “Guantanamo Bay” in Dera Bugti where prisoners were, not only, tortured through third degree methods but were, also, denied the basic human needs including toilets. The filth of garbage was served as food in Bugti’s jails.
As an autocrat heading a state within the State, Bugti had set up an intelligence network aimed at spying on the disgruntled “slave”. The absconding tribesmen were sniffed out and brought back to be maimed and lynched. Look at this terror-stricken skeleton who has completed ten years of his penal servitude and is being escorted to his home after the fall of Bugti’s Empire. His parents died during the period of his imprisonment and he was not allowed to attend the funerals of his mother and father who had been vainly beseeching this callous beast to allow them to have a glimpse of their imprisoned son. To incur his displeasure was to incur the wrath of God and no body ever dared taste this cyanide. He drove the poor men, women, and children of Kalpar and Masoori tribes off their homes, forceably occupied their land and deprived them of their belongings.
Intoxicated with authoritarian arrogance and conceit, Bugti wanted his whims to be super-imposed over the existing norms of a free society. To the utter disregard of any scrupul and compunction Bugti had levied a monthly cess on the toiling slaves of his domain. He black-mailed the corrupt and coward erstwhile rulers of Pakistan and extorted billions of rupees in the form of royalty and wages of thousands of his tribesmen who were never seen working anywhere in the field. This immoral extortion and robbery in broad daylight was criminally overlooked and connived at by the so-called custodians of the National Exchequer who remained sinfully engrossed in their own loot of national wealth. The royalty received by Bugti was never utilized for the welfare of his “subject”. There were no schools, no colleges, no roads, hospitals, parks, no light and water in Dera Bugti. The entire extortion was lavishly spent by his lascivious sons and relatives on “pleasure excursions” at home and abroad. Akbar Bugti never took notice of the crimes of this gang of notorious lewd. All the members of Bugti’s family enjoyed absolute impunity to kill, loot and rape. The tenants suffering from T.B, Typhoid and Hepatitis etc; were advised to get themselves treated by invocation whereas a team of doctors was rushed in to treat a member of Bugti’s family suffering from ordinary cough and cold. In the election of National and provincial Assemblies and Local bodies the nomination papers filed by a candidate other than the nominee of Bugti were converted into his Black Warrants with spontaneous execution. It is not possible to touch the entire gamut of the blood-curdling atrocities committed by Bugti against the forsaken people of his tribe. The awe-stricken slaves with pale faces and sunkan cheeks are still reluctant to believe that this hydra-head monster has been exterminated. They will take quite sometime to come out of the trauma of this macabre.
Akbar Bugti was a remotely controlled device of high-treason installed in the heart of Balochistan by the United States to carry out subversive activities with particular focus on the strategic port of Gawadar where the Bush Administration is sizzling in the frying pan of Chinese presence. At the behest of his Indo-US masters, Bugti committed the assassination of Chinese engineers. This treason was aimed at forcing China to withdraw from Gawadar paving way for the American control over this deep sea port of great strategic importance.
Emboldened by the Indo-American commitment to provide him with the sophisticated arsenal, training in guerrilla warfare and financial support, Bugti embarked upon the mad adventure of conquering Balochistan. One can hardly believe that 120 ft. Deep digging and drilling of a huge mountain, with storing, boarding, lodging and bunkers facilities can be achieved through the use of shovels, chisels, drills and hammers and that too by the illiterate and unskilled tribesmen. This gigantic task can only be accomplished by employing sophisticated earth moving machinery and highly skilled labour working under the supervision of experienced engineers. Who provided Akbar Bugti with this heavy equipment, skilled labour and advanced technical know how? All this was smuggled into Pakistan by the Indian Consulate and American functionaries operating in Afghanistan with the connivance and abetment of the Mullahs of M.M.A. Besides providing shelter to a fugitive traitor, the cave was used as a hub of subversive activities carried out by the mercenaries of the so-called Balochistan Liberation Army under the guidance of Indian guerrillas. Bugti killed hundreds of innocent persons including women, children, old and sick people through bomb blasts in buses, trains, hospitals, schools, colleges, parks, stores and other public places. The sudden death of Akbar Bugti un-nerved the Indo-US conspirators who rushed to Europe and, with the assistance of London based fugitive, operated their minting machine to move their bishops and pawns like Majeed Nizami, Irshad Haqani, Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi, Qadir Hasan, Qureshi, Qazi, Hafiz, Fazal, Nisar, Ahsan ,Khosa, Tahmina, Abida, Sheri, Itezaz, Rabbani, Fahim, Zafar-ul-Haq, Parvez, Hameed Gul, Imran and similar other chessmen of their chess-board including TV channel (GEO)_all borne on the pay roll of CIA. The violent and furious reaction expected by the American administration to the death of Akbar Bugti has not been witnessed anywhere which has greatly perturbed the Indo-US planners. Since the unholy nexus comprising the feudal barons, capitalists of ARD and Mullahs of M.M.A has failed to bring the people on roads to overthrow Musharraf which constitutes a vital pre-requisite for the occupation of Gawadar, it seems to have been decided to buttress this crumbling nexus with the support of splinter political groups and sectarian adversaries which are available at a very low bid and are expected, not only, to mobilize the public through the exploitation of Islam but, like Afghan war, can also supply the herds of scape-goats to be sacrificed on the altar of American interest .The Indo-US concern over the death of Akbar Bugti has “animated” the “dormant literati” in Pakistan and caused the mashroom growth of “prominent writers”, “poets” and “political analysts”. Even charlatan and pseudo-intellectuals are greatly benefiting from this “boon” The Nazamees, Qasmis, Qadir Hasans and Haqanis are shamelessly scavenging through the dustbin of Indo-US “generosity”. Spurred by the insatiable greed and avarice these ponies of the Western stable are neighing, ad-naseam, to reduce the audibility of patriotic protests against American interference in our internal affairs. With a servile hope to see the American manger “decorated” with “sumptuous” and “palatable” fodder these hackneys are kicking, with full force of their hind-legs, the anti US element to force them abandon their patriotic stance. The rags are publishing scandalous concoctions about the officers and men of the Armed Forces of Pakistan beside whipping up panic in the country by unscrupulously and unabashedly raising the bogy of disintegration of Pakistan. The treasonous dissemination of rumors, portraying Pakistan as a weaker state vulnerable to any external aggression and similar other fabrications are aimed at demoralizing the nation and diverting the wrath of people towards Musharraf. This sinful campaign of malicious propaganda has been launched at the behest of their Indo US masters who want to pressurize Musharraf for the fulfillment of their demands which include, inter alia, the handing over of Doctor Qadeer to America, allowing the US team to interrogate this national hero, sending Pakistani troops to Iraq and above all to replace the friendly China with the most unreliable America in the Gawadar port project.
At this critical juncture when a conspiracy has been hatched in Delhi and Washington to subvert the socio-economic and administrative structure of Pakistan and colossal amount has been earmarked for the success of this plot, it is the bounden duty of every Pakistani, particularly, the intelligentsia to keep an eye on the activities of pro-Indo-US element who has maneuvered their penetration into the political as well as the so-called religious parties and, in sum cases, are heading these organizations. They are paid for fanning parochial prejudices and sectarian hatred. Every department is infested with these germs of alien breed. We must exercise utmost vigilance to foil the evil designs of their Indo-US masters.
