A candidate born before 31 dec 1986 is not eligible in terms of maximum age

Are you sure? Can candidates born in 1987 appear in CSS 2018?

For CSS 2018: a candidate born on or before 31 Dec 1987 is ineligible except for those who are eligible for age relaxation of two years. In that case, a candidate born on or before 31 Dec 1985 is ineligible.
Cut-off date for CSS 2018 is 31st Dec 2017
Please, avoid giving wrong informations.
For general criteria age limit is 30years and two years relaxation is awarded to candidates belonging to tribal areas and inservice candidates etc

My apologies... I read year 1986 it in ce-2016 rules when i appeared and somehow it got stuck in my mind... Sorry for inconvenience

Thank you for giving this info. Can you possibly tell how many times can a candidate, from tribal area, born on or before 31st December '87 appear for CSS exam? 2 times or 3 would be left for that person?
