Default Should I join OGDCL
I am currently working as an Engineer on a permanent position at SNGPL. I have been offered the job of asst Engineer (Instrument) at OGDCL at almost double my current salary. The drawback of the OGDCL is that it is initially a contractual position (likely to become permanent) as compared to my current permanent job. Moreover it is site based with a rota of 21 days on and 21 days off whereas my current job is based in my home city. The medical facility offered by SNGPL is much better than what is offered by OGDCL.

Keeping the above points in consideration, I would like to ask your opinion on whether I should leave my current permanent home based job at SNGPL for a contractual yet lucrative site job in OGDCL.

OGDCL is far better than SNGPL. Perks and privileges in OGDCL are much better than other institutions.

I have worked in ogdcl it is i think better than sngpl.
On draw back of ogdcl is some fields are in remote areas.

One drawback of going to OGDCL is that I am currently working in EG3 at SNGPL and will be eligible for promotion to EG4 next year. On the other hand I am being offered EG2 in OGDCL and their parking period in one grade is 5 years which is more than the parking period in one grade of SNGPL (i.e 3 years). So it seems that promotions in ogdcl are slower than Sngpl.
