Very Very Important information regarding Hiring in NDC
Dear all,
I wanna share very important information regarding appointment in NDC. There are two types of jobs in NDC. 1. Regular setup (NDC) 2. Commercial setup (W&S) Similarly and accordignly there are two different sections working under NDC. First one called NDC inwhich jobs are offered on regular basis (from SPS 4 nd above). Other section is W&S. All employees (irrespetive of SPS scale) appointed in w&s section are purely on contract basis iniatlly for two year and renewable with mutual consent (however chances to become regular/permanent staff are Zero) . The important thing is that NDC do not mention its Section on appointment letter therefore some people (like me) resign from there exisiting jobs for the sake of better job. But once applicant join it, they came to know that it is contractual job. So as per my opinion these jobs are good for fresh candidtaes as job rotine is not much tough not over burdoned, medical facility for employee, spouse and children, hiring (after considerable time and on basis of seniority) but have no charm for experienced staff (except salary benifit if any) in such jobs department pay only 5 basics at the time of retirement and nothing else. So my request is that, if you got offer letter from NDC then donot put your resign in first step. First of all get info that you are appointed on commercial strength (w&s) or on regular basis(NDC). Then decide Anyhow Job on regular basis is a better opportunity. Best of luck to all of you. Stay blessed.

Brother first of all wishing you best of luck for this new job.. And thankyou so much for sharing this useful information.. Could you please answer two questions?
1: what are the promotion chances in contractual job? Or no promotion at all? 2: As you said there is no charm for these jobs, what do you mean by charm? Because mostly all the nescom departments thesedays are offering jobs on contractual basis as i saw in newspapers except in very few cases.. So this case is not only for us but for all coming people.. Also same salary, medical, hiring etc as regular ones.. Waiting for your reply dear.. |

As far as criteria of promotion is concern (for contactual employees) there is no hard and fast rule yet in NDC. Some people got promotions but some are in same grade since last 8 or more years. Anyhow there are chances for promotions to contractual employees. The latest news is that SPD is taking over NDC's commercial setup from Jan 2016. So there are different views abt this new structure. Some told SPD is very strict, and chances of promotion will become lower after this change and vice versa.
2ndly i told there is no charm for experienced applicant because they are already getting good packages and are not in position to move in commercial setup, from where the will definately look for more switches. Which is not good even it is very difficult to leave strategic organization without clearance from department (no one can leave in firt year and after that they need NOC to move in another orgnization). Yes most of strategic organizations are offering jobs initially on contract basis but after some time contractual employee become regular. But not in NDC's Commecial setup :-( as chance to become permanent in Commercial setup is Zero. There is no GP Fund contribution for contractual employees and at the time of retirement only 5 basic salaries will be given to the employee. Bye the way, after getting such information i haven't joined NDC.
