General Knowledge by Adeel Niaz 2014 latest edition is a good book + if can find from somewhere general rules for english (37 rules) something like that....or NOVA academy's notes for english are very concise and excellent for such tests....

I think stranded height is 5.7", however, they want 5.8" minimum except Balouchistan province. Thus, if you have 5.8" height, you can apply, otherwise it seems those who are below 5.8" e.g 5.7", are ineligible to apply. Rest, anyone who working in motorway, will better clarify this point.
