JazakAllah brother for sharing your interview experience.. You were asked power questions because it is a company mostly dominated by power engineers. Surely power engineers are gonna have an edge.

They just cannot put the responsibility of designing a protection scheme for a transmission line on a engineer who does not even know how an impedance relay works. Ntdc never designs a test like this in which maximum questions comes from electronics and communication this time it was designed by NTS. It was just a fluke game.
Now NTDC is just applying the filter

To those candidates who appeared in the interview for Junior Electrical Post, will you be kind enough to share details about:

1) Helping material you used to prepare for the interview?
2) Type of questions which were asked in the interview?
3) How many questions they asked?
4) Was it pure technical or also had some general knowledge questions?
5) Duration of the interview?
6) Panel who took interview, how many members it had?
7) How did it conclude i-e what did they say in the end? will they be taking another interview?

My interview experience
A panel if three guys conducted the interview. General introduction about my degree my specialization, current job and family background. What you know about transmission of ntdc, what volatges are used, ferranti effect, then what components are present in a grid station, questions about few components of grid. Then person said me to draw a breaker and a half scheme and tell him how its works he told me if u do this I am gonna give u full marks .. and he laughed. Then he said me what is your favourite sports I said cricket he asked few questions about current india and Australia test series and during my replies he was smiling then he said best of luck

11KV,33KV,66KV
Normally it varies with the length of the transmission.The shorter the length,the lower will be the generation voltage and vice versa!
