Dear forum members !

In this thread I post the specific areas of research for PhD Fellowships in various disciplines by searching Universities in United Kingdom and try my best to find the PhD supervisor name as well & in all posts I've provided links for further details, application procedure etc.

To get Common Wealth or to go on Fellowship via any of HEC fellowship--- the procedure is very simple as I used to mention in many of fellowship threds. i.e.
1) Search your specific area of research by searching this thread in any common wealth University u like (in case of common wealth fellowship program)

2) And then kindly after fullfilling requirements of the University Admission office (e.g. ETS GRE INternational ; TOEFL etc. details of these u may find in my posts in other CW thread & in Scholarship guideline thread)
; Try posting your application in hard copy via Post rather than applying online +++ Be in contact via phone with ur admission supervisor..... it'll help u do things speedy.

3) In financial guarantor forms in Admission package..... either apply on CW(Common Wealth) program or write that u'll apply to HEC Govt of Pakistan for fellowship & if selected via this HEC will bear financial cost of Study program

4) Once u get the CONFIRMED ADMISSION ACCEPTANCE LETTER in PhD/MS program of any CW University........... APPLY FOR Student VISA

5) Finally, send all these acceptance documents with ETS GRE International + TOEFL etc scored to HEC and apply on any of hundreds of HEC fellowships offered each year

that it.

best of luck !

regards,
sincerely.

Ok, sorry for poking into the discussion without any need but the title was catchy and caught my attention, i have a question~

Pakistan i heard has been suspended as a member of the Common Wealth, so how come the Scholarships are being awarded to the students of Pakistan?

Noman Thursday, December 13, 2007 04:17 AM

@ brother Khushal
Though, the membership is cancelled but the active MS/PhD Fellowship programs under MOU (Memorandum of understanding) signed by HEC & British Council is still active. Thats why the interviews for this year was being held for students who have applied in Common wealth program[i.e for summer semester 2008]. And those who have availed this fellowship are still being funded by Common Wealth. A BSCS junior of mine was awarded CW fellowship for M.Sc. E-Commerce in U.K. 2005 and he still is being funded by CW.

It is hoped that the CW membeship of Pakistan will soon be reinstated after elections of 2008.

sincerely,

I hope it does, though the chances are high the Elections will sworn in Beni Bhutto without any polling:P~~~

Hope all goes well for Pakistan in the long run, Thanks for the info~

Insha-Allah everything will be fine soon for our dearest homeland Pakistan.

Quaid once said after the birth of Pakistan:-

" It is my wish.... We have to work hard and struggle to make this country and to make this nation as one of the greatest nations of the world "

Alhamdulillah, today, we are the 7th Atomic power of the world & a very progressive country with lots of talent & sincerity; but a long way forward we have to go.

And insha-Allah, I believe, that youth like us will follow Quaid & Iqbal by doing our duty with honesty in whichever position we are & by never forgetting
Unity Faith & Discipline !

aoa Dear islah g !
of course you may apply for commonwealth fellowship program for Post graduation in law. For undergraduate the requirement is 12 years of education (HSSC) and for Post graduation it is 16 years of education that is required. One second div. only throughout the academic career. Rest of the information I 've already posted in the scholarship guideline thread and in this thread as well. The fellowships for 2009 Commonwealth program are awarded and list of selected scholars for fellowship is available at HEC web site. www.hec.gov.pk

You may apply for 2010 fellowship program now.
