Fulbright Scholarship Now OPEN for 2014

Dear All,

The Fulbright Scholarship program for Pakistan has opened its 2014 applications from prospective applicants in Pakistan.

For those of you who do not know, the Fulbright program is fully funded by the US government. it is awarded to deserving Pakistani applicants for pursuing a Masters or a PhD. program in the U.S. The monetary benefit of this scholarship is huge. It covers everything from tuition fees to insurance to books as well as paying a monthly stipend that ranges from $1000 to 2500. You are also given an air ticket for travel to the U.S.

In order to apply for the Fulbright program, you must ensure that your complete application along with the required documents reaches the USEFP by May 15, 2013. Approximately 200 students will be selected for this scholarship.

Since the start of this program several years ago, over 4,000 Pakistanis have gone to the U.S. for their higher studies.

Minorities, women, students from FATA and Balochistan are highly encouraged to apply. Energy, public policy, and water are preferable fields. All disciplines are allowed to apply except for Clinical medicine.

Here are a few basic things that you must fulfill in order to be eligible for this scholarship:

Complete Fulbright application form
3 Letters of recommendation
Statement of purpose also known as personal statement.
GRE scores
Do remember that Fulbright has the world's largest scholarship program for Pakistani students, so you have a strong chance of getting through :-)
If you have any further questions, do let me know!

Good Luck!

Hey Sarmad,

Glad you like the post. Yes so for all the official and authentic information I would suggest you go to the official site of usefp which is http://usefpakistan.org/

USEFP (the body which gives these scholarships) require a minimum of 138 (Quant) out of 170 and a minimum of 136 (Verbal) out of 170 on the GRE. However these are just the minimum scores. As per my observation and experience you must aim for somewhere around 155 on both these sections to have a fair chance of getting in. :-)

Good luck

For the Masters degree program, eligible candidates will have either a four-year Bachelor's degree or a Bachelor's and Master's combination totaling 16 years of formal education from an accredited university. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, except for MBA applicants, who require 3 years of work experience. :(
