Please do not study from the GRE big book it is a waste of effort....GRE has changed a lot since August 2011 and since then the big book is now an outdated source of preparation...moreover there is no single book for preparation...use multiple books such as barrons, kaplan, princeton review and wahtever you can get...GRE has now become seriously difficult and you must work very hard to get a decent score...Good luck!

You will have to signup on the ETS website and make an account first if you want to search for test dates in Pakistan...you can register for it at www.ets.org/gre

GRE general test is the basic requirement for scholarships and admissions to U.S. Subject test is only required by some specific programs so before you give that please check with your prospective university if they need a subject test as well

The GRE is held 4 days a week from Monday to thursday throughout the year...so practically you can get a test date anytime you want...however march-may is a rush period so get your self registered early.
