With a good GAT score you can avail HEC Overseas Felloship that is far better from that of Indigenous fellowship.

If you want to apply Indigenous scholarship, its good to get admission first in some university.But still HEC did not announced the Indigenous scholarship.So how you can apply now ? Keep visiting HEC web site. They will announce in September or October. One another important point is that HEC normally give priority to already enrolled students.So you must try for this year.

What about overseas scholarships? When will they be announced? And how long does it take for the complete procedure of overseas scholarships? If you have any idea that would be of a lot help. Thanks

Dear khurramm,
overseas scholarships were announced last year in December 2012, but HEC did not short listed the candidates yet.My suggestion is go for that when they announce but keep on eye on other scholarship also.You can see seven months are already over and till they did not short listed the candidates.After short listing they will ask students to apply for admission.In fact students will join universities in spring 2014.Almost one year is the process time.it might be reduce next batch.

Thanks for the reply. But should i start my masters in the meanwhile? What should I be doing in one year of the processing time? And for overseas scholarships, do i have to prepare some research proposals?

I think HEC is not going to announce the next batch for overseas scholarship as the Batch IV been shortlisted are still waiting for the country allocation and the batch V applicants are waiting for the scrutiny since December 2012. You might start your masters and can apply in the middle,,,,one of my friend enrolled in MS and applied for the overseas,,,,and was given the scholarship for PhD as in the scrutiny time he had finished his MS... .... Research proposal doesn't matter alot...just a normal one.

My name is Asim Jawaid and i have recently done my BS(CS) from FUUAST, Islamabad. My CGPA is 3.64 and my GAT Score is 60. I want to know that if i apply for the HEC local scholarship can i get that and when will hec announce the scholarship?

I applied in NUST university only. Can i avail that scholarship in that university.

i have done bsc engineering recently but have not got admission in ms program in any university.may i eligible for this schlorship as i am not enrolled in ms in a univeristy.is enrollement is necessary for this schlorship or after getting schhlorship u may go for admission......
plz guid me in this context..........thanx..
