I didn't go out of this book. Dogars testmaster. It have lot of mistakes though, but still good to go. If you really want to go for big shot try THE BIG BOOK after you have complete command on this one.

Yes. The best way to increase vocab is to read newspaper. But if you only need to memorize words for test then make flash cards for not only of high frequency words but also the antonyms and analogies given in book. If you have a android phone, you don't have to make flash card, I already made it on my phone you can have them.

No HEC do not provide job, bond is to ensure that they are investing in you so that you may serve your county rather then leave Pakistan forever by means of the scholarship.

Be positive bro, nothing is useless. Set your goals, and make effective plans to achieve them. Nothing is impossible. You are getting a masters/PhD degree, does it look like useless to you.
