Default Ms PhD Degrees

Hello everyone. I am a Hec scholar for MS leading to Ph.D under faculty development program. I want to know that in MS leading to Ph.D if the degree awarded is only Ph.D then is it ok or the scholar should get both Ms & PhD degrees ? I contacted hec but have not received any info. If someone has any info then kindly share.

Phd degree in Ms leading to phd is recognized and accepted. You don't need to get MS degree any more.
