I qualified for this scholarship in 2013 for a MBA in China. I gave them 3 choices, they themselves got me admission in one, although it was the last one :p. I even received the visa form to submit to the embassy (Visa form was already filled to my pleasure). So it was a done deal. I did not go because I got another funding in UK.

Then to my surprise, after a month they asked me if I wanted to go to Turkey instead, I remember they proposed Balakant University perhaps. I told them I was going to UK. So they are actually fairly good once you clear the test. Mr Anwar Farooq Sadozai in IPC, the section officer is quite a good man, he is not like other government officers. So do not worry, focus on the test first.
Brother you are doing great job in this thread. Keep guiding the aspirants as you have the first hand knowledge of qualifying this very test. What was your score when you qualified this test ?

My pleasure, if I can help anybody here. 74 in Management Sciences. Had it been a better score, perhaps they would have nominated me elsewhere like South Korea or Italy perhaps. When the result was declared and I got 74, I thought I was done there and could never be short listed. The test was quite trickier though, not as easy as GAT General or SBP or other tests are.

Well Quite an envious score, though not that high
What minimum score do you expect can help get the name shortlisted in social sciences ?

You could also land a place with 65, but if you score 70+, it would be a good chance. 75+ would be a definite I guess.

This also depends upon your domicile. I am domiciled in Urban Punjab, which is one of the most competitive.

Order of Domiciles with descending difficulty (as far as I have observed):
1- Punjab Urban/ Sindh Urban
2- KPK/ Islamabad
3- Punjab Rural
4- Giligit/Baltistan
5- Balochistan/ FATA/ Sindh Rural

I think if you did accept the offer to china, they had not offered you go to Turkey. What is your opinion, brother??

Yes, apparently...Had I gone to China, they would not have. What would have happened is, somebody might have left an option to go to Turkey, and I had not yet gone to China, they might have asked me if I was interested.

Hi Brother.
Firstly, thanks for the valuable information. You are doing an admirable job of guiding all aspirants.

Secondly, I want to know about the level of difficulty of the test. The test pattern shows that it is divided into several parts (english, maths, marketing etc). Do you think that GAT management sciences book is at par with the level of test? Please give insights as to how the test should be prepared and from where?

Thanks in advance.

I do not have that book mate, never seen it even...It is a mix of technical and non technical...atleast 20% is quite technical, I remember questions asking to calculate portfolio Beta e.g. which a marketing major cant do that easily, and asking about Balanced Scorecard in HR, which a Finance major cannot tell out of blue. Another 40% is fairly basic, but we never remembered these things post our undergrad studies, right? :P Thats why we lose marks there as well.
