Next Steps:
1- Search for a study program you are interested in on Chinese Scholarship Council website.
2- Prepare your documents: Degree, final transcripts, letter of recommendations, statement of purpose and research proposal(only for PhD applicants).
3- Medical examination.
4- Apply on CSC website
5- Send documents.

sadly selected as an alternate candidate i'd score 68 from AJK, can i keep hopes or it is over for me and i should rather apply through direct route?

Well, I am in one of the groups for Chinese government scholarship and there is a difference of opinion between students already in China on using multiple CSC accounts to apply.

One opinion is to use multiple accounts but apply to only one university per account. They say that Chinese universities don't like to be placed at other than first preference, so all universities placed at 2nd or 3rd preference reject the application without even considering it. Many Pakistanis have used this method in past and many are using this method this year too.

The second opinion is that CSC might reject all extra accounts/applications if they use your passport number to identify extra accounts.

If you are applying directly then CSC cannot get your admission secured in any university, you have to apply directly to the university(by university's online application system or university's application form and paying the application fee) along with sending your CSC application to the university. If the university gives admission then they will send you the admission notice as well as inform CSC about applicant's success.

Swaleed: I am from Sindh, haven't received letter as yet. And yes it looks up country has started receiving letters.
