i 'm confused over this. can anyone clear this ambiguity!

All candidates appearing for competitive exam will be allowed three chances for each individual examination while four chances will be allowed in combination of different competitive examinations. candidates who have availed three /four chances earlier need not apply

Means you are allowed 3 chances in case of PMS and total of four chances in case you have appeared in other competitive exams like Tehsildar or Judicial magistrate. In case you have already appeared in one Tehsildar exam, one Judicial magistrate exam (pardon me if I'm naming it wrong) and two previous PMS exams then you're not eligible for a 5th attempt. Anyhow, that's just my analysis of it, I will confirm it from my friends in PSC.

I have appeared in Tehsildar exam once which makes this my second competitive exam attempt.

but pms should not have any concern with other competitive exams. still ambiguity prevail! mean if a candidate had applied thrice for css, once for tehsildar and let suppose twice for pms than he is out of game? personally, i have applied thrice for css and once for tehsildar and none of the time for pms. 3 css and 1 tehsildar exam make 4.

This has nothing to do with CSS, just the competitive exams held by KPPSC.

You're right brother. According to rules and procedure of KPPSC;
Competitive Exam means: ASI Exam, Tehsildar Exam, Exam for posts of Civil Judges, and exam for members of service (PMS)
Other Professional tests and interviews: Like lecturers, office assistants or recruitment to any other govt dept through KPPSC which doesn't fall under competitive exam.
However, I too would like to confirm about the syllabus, whether its changed like CSS or the same old one? If you know about that, please share.
