Syllabus shouldn't be a problem. Its straightforward, from compulsory Islamic Studies and Everyday Science subjects are revised in CSS, whereas not in PMS. Rest of compulsory are same.
Optional Subjects you have to choose, firstly make sure what subjects you can handle well, then give your all energies in prep. In PMS you can not pick IR and I. Law together. Political Science has a lengthy course but 200 marks, same is the case with Psychology. Its hard for anyone to predict that what elective subjects can benefit you, however, you can analyse your skills and understanding of the particular subject you have narrowed down.
If Political Science appeals you and you are interested in Questions like, "What State is? How it works? What are its different organs? Comparative study of different constitutions? And how some western and Muslim philosophers put Government and State into perspective?" then how dry it seems this should be your choice. But If you're more interested in studying behavior and personality then Psychology is beneficial.
