It was fine, but unusual. All the questions were of conceptual nature, not that they couldn't be attempted. Just books and internet etc don't have answers to them.

Example: Communication is sharing of meaning instead of sharing of information, argue. Another, Comment why so many different definitions of communication exist?
Yet another, Comment why so many definitions of news exist? And How medium is the message, comment?

PMS exam has become competitive in true sense. 👍

Saira since you are a veteran of last PMS what is your view about the papers? Essay was a bit unorthodox as per PMS standards. Same goes for Indo-Pak, Journalism and Forestery. Is there a pattern here?

Well, i think there's a deliberate attempt on part of kppsc to screen out candidates by introducing unusual questions. The policy seems sound as long as it is applied to the compulsory papers. Targeting some of the optionals while sparing others, however, is no justice. 🤔🤔🤔

They are doing the same thing again this time as well. Last time following were targeted
1. Pol science
2. Psychology
3. Sociology
4. Current Affairs

whereas the following awarded
1. Geography
2. Journalism
3. Philosophy

As per the original PMS datesheet, today was to be the last paper. However, the last paper will now be tomorrow

I agree with you in toto. Switched to Journalism and Forestry for this attempt and it didn't work out as per the plan despite making some serious effort. Questions were not plain and from the course outlines as they used to be in past PMSes. If psychology, Geography and philosophy are according to the old pattern then we are gone.
