The NWFP Public Service Commission has advertised for posts under Provincial Management Service (PMS) in NWFP. Apparently this is the first time when Government of NWFP has offered PMS. There are 162 posts for general quota, 19 for female quota, 4 for disable quota and 10 for earthquake affectees.

Applications are invited for the following posts from Pakistani citizens of N.W.F.P/ F.A.T.A domicile by 08.03.2008 ) ( 22.03.2008 for candidates from abroad). The appointments shall be made in accordance with the Provincial Government Policy.


1. One Sixty Two (162) Posts of provincial management service officer (BPS-17) in Govt: of NWFP Establishment Department.

Qualification:- 2nd Division Bachelor Degree from a recognized University.

Age Limit:- 21-30 years

Pay Scale:- 17

Eligibility:- Both Sexes

Allocation:- 41 to Merit, 27 each to Zone-I, II & III and 20 each to Zone-IV & V



2. Nineteen (19) Posts of provincial management service officer (B-17) in Govt: of nwfp establishment department (Female Quota)



Qualification:- 2nd Division Bachelor Degree from a recognized University

Age Limit:- 21-30 years

Pay Scale:- 17

Eligibility:- Female only

Allocation:- Merit



3. Four (04) Posts of provincial management service officer (B-17) in govt: of nwfp establishment department (Disable Quota)



Qualification:- 2nd Division Bachelor Degree from a recognized University

Age Limit:- 21-30 years

Pay Scale:- 17

Eligibility:- Both Sexes

Allocation:- Merit



4. Ten (10) Posts of Provincial management service officer (B-17) in govt: of nwfp establishment department for Earthquake Affectees of October 8, 2005)



Qualification:- 2nd Division Bachelor Degree from a recognized University

Age Limit:- 21-30 years

Pay Scale:- 17

Eligibility:- Both Sexes

Allocation:- As per policy of the Provincial Govt: for districts of Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla,

Kohistan & Abbotabad.



General Conditions.

Age in all cases shall be reckoned on 08.03.2008. There shall be a combined competitive examination for all categories of posts. The candidates are required to be academically qualified in all respects by 08.03.2008. Any candidate who does not possess the required qualification by the material date will not be considered. Govt: servants having rendered four years service shall be allowed Ten years relaxation in upper age limit or to the extent of service rendered whichever is less. Three years age relaxation is allowed to Zone-1,3 and scheduled castes candidates. However, only one age concession is allowed to the candidates claiming age concession under various categories whichever is more beneficial to them.

The candidates are required to apply on the prescribed application form obtainable alongwith the new PMS Syllabus from the listed below branches of the NATIONAL BANK. The Application Fee is Rs.285/- (Rs. Two Hundred & Eighty Five Only) for all candidates. In addition to application fee, the candidates will have to pay Rs.15/- on account of Bank Charges. Application Form obtained other than the specified branches of the National Bank will be considered invalid and such applications will not be entertained. The applications on plain paper or photo stat shall not be accepted. Incomplete applications if not supported documentarily or with the choice of optional subjects certificates will be rejected. Late applications shall also be ignored. Applications must be submitted within the stipulated time as no extra time is allowed for postal transit. Applications if submitted on the last date must reach the Commission’s Office by the closing hours.

Ex-armed Forces Personnel must send copy of Discharge Certificate with their applications. Govt:/ Semi-Govt/ Autonomous/ Semi-Autonomous Bodies employees may apply direct but their departmental permission certificates should reach the Commission Office within 30 days of the closing date. Government reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post. Persons married to foreign Nationals can be considered only on production of relaxation orders from the Government. The Zonal and Merit Quotas shall be strictly followed in the allocation of seats. No zonal reservation stands for posts allocated to disable and female quota. These shall be filled in on open merit.



Ineligibility:- Candidates who have already availed three chances in any of the specified examination or a total of four chances in all the examinations shall not be eligible:-



a) Combined Examination for recruitment to the post of Extra Assistant Commissioners, Section Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Excise & Taxation Officers.

b) Examination to the post of Civil Judges

c) Examination for recruitment to the post of Assistant Conservator of Forests.


Note:-

1. Candidates will be admitted to the examination provisionally at their own risk subject to found eligible in all respects. On detailed scrutiny of the applications after the written examination is over, if any candidate is found ineligible in any respect under the rules for the examination, his/ her candidature will be cancelled regardless of the fact whether he/she has appeared in the examination or qualified therein. To avoid frustration the candidates are advised in their own interest to make sure before appearing in the examination that they fulfill all the requirements of the rules relating to the examination.

2. Candidates applying against disable quota must attach with their application form a disability certificate from Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled persons as well as disability certificate from the respective Medical Superintendent/ Medical Board showing therein the specific disability.

3. Separate application forms will be required for each Serial No. of posts.

4. Grace Marks are not allowed.

Salam dear frineds

how are u all, hope n pray u all are ok. i have applied for the nwfp PMS but m not clear about the posts, i.e. weather they are of section officers only or its a comination of all i.e. sections officers, DSPs, etc etc.

i shall be very thankful, if u share ur information and also suggest some preparation tips also as its my first time to appear in any competitive exam. thanks.

dear tahir .... u should concern '' High School Englsh grammer' by martin
it will cost u 90 rupes and dont forget to take its key which is 50 rs cost worthy and f u r settle in peshwar u can get it from Prince Books r Saeed book bank .....

PMS which is being anounced by nwfp includs post s of S.O , DDO , Excise and texation dept,, may b DSPs and some other department as per my information
but any how these are BPS-17 and far better than rest of the services u can say tht same like CSS but the only difference is tht it will be on provincial level and css is on national level.

thanks very much 4 informing me. Can u plzz temme that which book should i study 4 pol.science in which i cn get most of the course as m a teacher so i cn get hardly 10 hours to study. neways i ll try ma best to work on ur advice. I am going to give islamiat in english though i ve studied in school n college in urdu so wht should i do(shuld i take it in urdu or english?...as far as i think i guess english z gud....ba still nt sure) which one would b easy to catch n study as da couse z quite diff frm that of college...every1 pushes me to take it in urdu though i startd studying in english.

Dear its ok.

I cant suggest any book for pol. Science as its not my subject. as far as islamiate is concerned its not my suggestions but of those who have qualified css that it should be attempted in english.
however its all upto you. how well you can do it in any lanaguage.
