Default Why pms !!!!!!

sallam people,

i wanted to share and ask few things thats why starting a new thread...........1st of all why PMS?....bcz PMS answers the worries of those who were left out in CSS.....the exam pattern was similiar to CSS,similar subjects, similar training and attachment methods and similar postings and rapid promotion.....thats what people know ...but now came to know that its not exactly as it was expected.........training being decreased and so is the attachment period.....only the connected will get the best of posts and rest will be SO's..........and last but not the least, the promotions will be on the basis of availibility of vacant posts, unlike CSS where a fellow is promoted after a given period of time.lets say after 4 years in DMG.....but this seems not to be the case in PMS......if a guy on 125th number on the merit list that means he may have to wait lets say 12 years to be promoted ............and its horrible...........where did the element of join the dynamic service in all of this...some thing which was being said about PMS...............i think those who crafted it are no more at the hlem of affairs and those who are incharge of affairs are least bothered about PMS.........

I think what shafqat has said is right. for some reasons people thought that PMS was offering what even CSS could not offer. but as they say "door k dhol suhanay".
one of my good friends, also a member of this site but not very participating, joined PMS even though he had been allocated in a good group in CSS. his group was good according to any reasonable person. anyway when he told me that, i said many things to him that i can not even write about in this forum.
lets get to the reality, shall we? the PMS guys are getting the APA and PA posts because no one in the DMG wants to do these jobs these days because of the current political situation. once the things get better, they will come back and PMS people will be back to the barracks, I mean the secretariat where they belong. and shafqat has already cleared the promotion and other aspects.
PMS is good for people who can not get into CSS. but if you get into CSS cadre and then you leave that for PMS, that is one of the worst mistakes of your life career wise. at least that is my opinion.personally i would prefer any group in CSS over PMS. even postal and railway.
