Lightbulb All about PMS-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Dear forum members from kpk, i initiate this thread to discuss all about coming PMS exam here so tht v may get maximum help from each other for our preparation...

At present i have two queries in my mind:

1.When will the exam be conducted?

2.Are the in-service candidates eligible for this exam, as it has been announced a separate PMS exam for them by kpk-psc?

Default Pms...

Ans1. Atleast it will take 8 months to be conducted....( Due to previous experience).

Ans2. Yes it is true that in-service candidates will be eligible in this intake as well....

Default Pms kpk

In service people are eligible to apply as it has clearly been mentioned in the advertisement that gov, semi gov employees can apply direct but their deptt permission certificate should reach the commission office within 30 days of the closing date.

Dear as far as i knw there are few points on the basis of which we can differentiate PMS from CSS ..

1st. In CSS one is required to get 120 marks as a whole in GK Paper including Everyday sci. CA, PA . So a candidate who fails to get 40 marks in one of these paper and secure 120 marks as a whole then he will be considered as a pass candidate while in PMS one has to get atleast 40 marks in each paper individually.

2nd is the paper pattern; if we look at the pms 2008 papers so there are a number of papers which are completely different from that of CSS papers. For example In everyday sci. and indo-pak history paper there is no objective portion.....

So we need to keep in mind these points before preparing our study plan.......

Good luck to all of you........

remember me in your prayers........

Dear let me clear you one thing that at this stage no one can predict an exact date about the PMS written exam not even the commission members. Anythng can happen in PCS-KPK.. It might b arranged in Dec, before CSS2011 Or it might be shifted to later months i.e after CSS exam..... So in my opinion, at this stage our 100% focus should on our studies.......so start your preps.....wishing you a very goodluck ........

regards.......

Arrow Pms'2010

Well as far as i know they have changed that GK paper rule.
If u go through the syllabus, its clearly mentioned in there. It's same as in CSS.
About exams it's KPK Psc rule to conduct exam in the same year ,in which posts have been advertised.
But in the end u can expect anything because it's KPK.(NO Hope No Fear here).
