CSS and PMS preparation

There should be a FAQ thread in NWFP-PCS section (rather in every section) for questions like this.

After roughly going through them, I've noticed that syllabus for NWFP-PMS and CSS is the same (unless I've missed something). I am preparing for CSS so can I take PMS on the basis of same preparation and same optionals?
