Assalam o Alaikum.
For the conventional issues like Kashmir, Palestine, Iran, Middle East Politics etc, try to follow websites of SASSI , SSI, DSSI etc. Contempoaray affairs old editions or general knowledge books can also be used for this purpose.

For contemporary issues, Dawn or any other quality English Newspaper must be read regularly. As for the paper attempt, try to make headings and each and every question should be according to an outline like, introduction/background, salient features/factors /follow up/current scenarios etc and concluding paragraph. The outline should be in your mind and not on the paper. The headings depend upon the nature of the questions so I gave you a very crude idea. The rest you can sort out yourself.

When I look back at this DMS, I derive a new kind of motivation every time. Allah is so kind, Alhamdolillah. I am bringing this DMS into lime light only to let the aspirants know that Allah has better plans for us but we the Humans, are always concerned about temporary prospects. PMS and CSS were in a row and both were my first attempts. I am grateful to Allah for bestowing upon me more than what I am actually capable off. Stay blessed and be inspired .
