* FPSC' Wisdom
Federal Public Service Commission has announced the no. of vacancies for competitive exam CE-2012.it is very encouraging to know that Establishment Division has spared 247 vacancies against all respective quotas. This announcement has brought a sigh of relief to all 788 candidates who have been in this process for last two years .as a result of this announcement the uncertainty has been marginalised which is the main feature of this particular examination.
This announcement was very cheerful for some but at the same time it has brought worries to the few i.e Disabled Candidates. FPSC proudly announced that it has not reserved any seats for disabled candidates and they will have to compete on open merit basis. On the other hand it has reserved special seats for Women and Minorities. The question is how FPSC supposes that a physically impaired person can compete with normal people and women and minorities cannot? I am a physically impaired person and i know what effort you need to take this tough scheduled* examination. It is very demanding for a physically impaired person to take this examination. i have qualified this examination but it is very much disappointing to know that* there are no seats reserved for disabled candidates otherwise i would have got a 17 scale job in this country where people like me are not supported by any one including government.
FPSC should consider the problems faced by disabled persons in Pakistan and must reserve at least 2 % quota (4 to 5 seats) for such persons as declared mandatory by the parliament of Pakistan. It would be very encouraging for people like us that most prestigious institution like FPSC acknowledges our effort and facilitates us to become a healthy part of this country and contribute in its progress otherwise people like me will continue to be a burden for their families as long as opportunities are not given to them to support their families.

Dear forum member!
I support you in this context as there is already a narrow breathing space for the disable in our part of the world so they must be supported by the government in order to secure them from frustration. It is a moral and social duty of all the forum users to rise like a single voice for this sacred cause.
