The topic "Globalization and Electronic media" was of very precise nature. you have stretched it unwieldy. i skipped it because of its specific nature, the addition of "and Electronic media" have limited the very scope of this topic.

the topic summary is like :

1-Globalization
2-Electronic media force behind globalization
3-How electronic media affect Globalization (Historic+present view)
4-Merits/Demerits of Globalization
5-Globalization and role of electronic media(a boom or a ban?)


This was all about it, you can further add subtopics related to it. Globalization is variegated concept, electronic media is a recent and just a small determinant to it.

Essay writing in competitive exams is one paper, one cant say anything definately and with 100% assurance. You seems to have done a very decent job with your attempt. After going through your essay I have an inkling that first part of topic "Globalization" and its different dimensions which to me, constitute half of your essay topic, was given lesser space in paper. Moreover, it also gives the impression that topic under discussion is Muslims Ummah its culture versus Western culture. However, if you have related it directly with your topic throuhg your writing then there is no harm.

Missing outline in pms won't be fatal. Outline might give u additional couple of marks. But it wasn't necessary

It is fatal, Arif awan (the guy on this form) now serving in PAS missed outlines in PMS 2010 and he failed essay by 1-2 marks. Arif awan is topper of kpk css-2011 and got 15th position all over the country. and yes interestingly Arif awan failed (essay+English precie) in 2012 css exam. this shows how much luck matters in this exam.

but still it depends on mood of examiner, lets pray for the best.

[FONT="Palatino Linotype"]Yes I remember Arif Awan's case. But as I mentioned before in PMS 2011, making an outline was explicitly mentioned in Essay paper, whereas, this time there was no such instruction lukily.[/FONT]

If its not mentioned as the case in PMS essay paper of 2013, it obviously means that its not required.

Dear, Arif Awan failed in written exam of PMS-2011 , although he scored 808 marks but he failed in one paper, don't remember which paper..

outline with essay is not inevitable,and is part of the essay writing in competitive exam , but it just enhances the beauty of essay, and help the examiner take a better guesswork of the imminent essay, But its not the reason of somebody,s failure.
As for as the case of Arif Awan is concerned......Missing Outline could not be the reason of his failure as per my guesstimate. Because passing the essay by the examiner does not wholly depend merely on outline . Arif Awan might have been otherwise with the main body of his essay, which turned out in the form of 38 marks out of 100.

Obviously, if someone has written a standard essay , outline doesn't matter.

And beyond doubt the outline was not written by arif awan , Because outline is written before a deliberate essay writing. So it seems that he himself was cryptic to sketch out the essay on first page.

It all i intended to say that you are safe if you were good with your main body of essay, That,s all.

N.B: I followed expository discourse for this topic.

INTRODUCTION:
media has made the world a global village. all the countries of the world are like houses of a small typical village, where no one can remain in isolation. this phenomenon has both positive and negative impacts on the world.

POSITIVE IMPACTS:
> knowledge sharing
> round the clock contact with family and friends
> (don't remember)

NEGATIVE IMPACTS:
> cultural invasion
> no country can maintain its separate identity
> media is manipulated by big world power to have control over whole world

CONCLUSION:
globalization through electronic media has both positive and negative impact on each individual country of the world. it depends how a country maximize its positive impact and minimize its negative for itself. our country should make a cyber army to check its negative impact on our country.

Outline is the compulsory part of the essay that gives clear idea regarding the flow of essay to the checker.. i do agree that whole essay is not dependent on outline, but at the same time one can not pass the essay with out that.. the clear instance is Arif Ullah Awan who secured 808 in PMS 2011 but just lagged in Essay, truly because of not writing outline.. the notion that he couldn't write appropriate Body of the essay, i would say a person getting marks as high as 808, how come he couldn't write a body just for an essay :)

Don't worry about that brother, there are no hard and fast rules for essay. Just require lil flow of relevant ideas along with simple language that is free of grammatical mistakes. Further in case of PMS, checking is comparatively loose as compared to that of CSS. So relax and pray for success.

My outline was as follows;

6.How this threat can be overcome (suggestions)
7.Conclusion

I wrote down 5-6 causes,effects and suggestions for this threat. It was round about 2500-2800 words.

1. usually the effects are produced by causes of something. i mean u shud hv stated the effects after causes of the [COLOR="DarkRed"][B]threat[/B][/COLOR], rather than vice versa, ........nevertheless your essay,s outline seems on the track..........in case if u hv substatiated it with attractive materials.
2. Terrorism is so widespread cancer that 2500 plus words can not sooth this topic down. But time factor, during 3 hrs , is also imp to take into notice. the rest of your essay looks on the pattern of very simple essay, however remember that [COLOR="DarkRed"][B]simplicity is the glory of expression[/B][/COLOR]
