Job Description:

To carefully handle receipts, invoices, payments and maintain records through data entry and filing.
To prepare, compile, organize and maintain different department reports.
To monitor support staff and schedule their activities.
To calculate over time of employees and process for payment.
To procure consumables, preparing purchase order, inviting tenders.
To handle general administrative tasks or any assignment given by the supervisor/management.

Office Assistant gets promoted to the post of Superintendent. (Now recently been given time scale promotion at Grade-17)
Promotion of office Assistant depends upon the vacancy of the post of Superintendent.
Otherwise, Office Assistant gets eligible for Section Officers Promotion Test after serving for 8 years in BS-14 & attaining the age of 30 years. (As per recent changes on the criteria to apply for promotion exams)

Dear rules Now Changed. there is no promotion of assistant in civil sectraite. and there is no promotion exam

Dear,as per confirm notification regarding recent upgradation, Office Assistant BPS 14 is now upgraded to BPS-16, which is a guzzeted officer, guzeted officer, acceptable signature for nadra attestation. further, if you can go on deputation, can get officer rank, starting salary will be 24523 net,
