A Tehsildar can be promoted to grade 20 easily in his career if he is inducted at the age of 25. If he gets his first promotion after 7 years followed by another after 5-10 years and vice versa, he can most likely cross BS-20 before reaching superannuation.

I don't know why candidates are reluctant to share their interview experience here 😔

it was of general nature.. they did not ask even a single question related to tehsildar , economy or mcqs based.. Mostly my family background was discussed. For instance, they asked.. your entire family is in europe so why don't you go abroad? You are looking like an army officer, have you served in armed forces of pakistan? asked a lot about my area, my degree and parents.. aasked about my dad's profession and suggested me to join police force....in sum, it was basically a general gup shup. Panel was too cooperative except a mam who was very strict... she told a number of times that being a PHD scholar i should not come to this field..But i was adamant on my point ..They asked why you want to become a tehsildar? i replied...it has lot of grooming opportunities... mam abruptly responded.. what sort of grooming opp. i said it has fast promotions etc.. she became angry and said who told this nonsense that it has sharp promotions? promotions are deadly slow and tehsildar is promoted to next grade after 8 to 10 years .. plz don't expect repeated questions. They were asking new questions after every interview.. thanks.

yesterday, i have been to commission office. i asked some candidates ,who were interviewed, for the questions being asked from them. Apparently, the interview, on the day, was an open debate about various national and international affairs. one female interviewer was also the part of panel from revenue deptt. she did ask questions related to issues and challanges in revenue deptt, role of tehsildar, patwari, girdawar, measures to address corruption in revenue deptt, why are you joining this post and the questions alike. the members asked about national affairs, for instance operation zarbe azab, NFC award, etc. information about native area i.e population, area, historical significance, candidate's hobbies and familial background were common to ask from every candidate.
analytically, interview nature was open and opinion based.
