Marks of the translation are solid. Those who have produced correct and proverbial translation will get 20/20 inshallah.

i think mere translation of two or three lines will not be sufficient to get 20/20 marks.
first, i wrote the translation of the sura, then its features like makki and no of ayats and then wrote about the conditions and reasons why this sura was revealed.

mere translation is not enough to score more in this question.

I think the question only asks to translate the surrah and no explanation is required. There is no need to provide the details about the conditions and reasons that why that surrah was revealed.

In my previous attempt, I only wrote the translation(in simple English) and was able to score 73 in it. So, my observation is that only writing the translation is suffice.

the work u did is categorised as over-efficient.
Maulanas of KPK do not like to be impressed and this is the personal experience of my cousin.
so, you may get below expectation or nothing in marks .

Dear in competitive exams the examinar likes direct hitting of the subject matter. yes simple and proverbial translation will get different score. But except translation further details were not necessary. And those who have exagerrated the limit will not get bonus in this question. However, it will impress the examinar and his pen for marking will be softened in the remaining questions. so your attempt will not go waste. Good.

dear, can you exactly tell me how many marks did you get in that particular question of translation not in the whole paper?
may be you have got good marks in the rest of the questions.

it is a matter of common sense. how will you be given 20/20 marks just for two or three lines of translation. Being a Muslim, only translation is not enough.it is PMS not an exam of primary level. INSH ALLAH, you will see the difference.

Dear they only tell the marks in subject. Not marks of each question. So, I can't answer to that. May be you are right.

umar riaz Sunday, October 06, 2013 02:38 AM

Question requirement was simple and straight forward one which was to just translate the Surah's. No other requirement was asked, hence mere translation can fetch maximum marks, while unnecessary explanations might have a negative impact on the examiner. The rest ALLAH knows better
