"Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord." May Allah grant patience to the family of the departed to bear with this loss and make him a mean of their eternal redemption. Proud of our soldiers and brave martyrs.

Regards

I don't visit this site now, today I happened to visit and I'm crestfallen to read this news. Don't tell me that he is the same Maulana sahab who belonged to SSW of PAF? He had beard as well?

He was a lion of Allah, a great person he was, humble to earth and brave like a tiger! A great tragedy it is! Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un...... We all have to leave this world one day, may Allah bless Sajjad sb with Jannah and give his family patience to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen

I still wonder why he did not open his reserve chute in time! This reminded me Sq Ldr Hussain Shaheed who met the same fate! May Allah protect our protectors. Ameen

Exactly Bilal brother. He was the same person as you have understood. He was the most outstanding and versatile commando of our Special Services Wing (SSW). The main canopy of his rig faced partial malfunction. He struggled to make it good but in vain. At last he decided to cut away the main and open reserve but it was too late. As per training one has to decide at least 15 hundred feet AGL (above ground level). It seems he made decision at around well below 1000 feet so was not left with insufficient height for full opening of reserve canopy. There are stages of opening process to prevent the sky diver from sudden shock as he is in free fall till then. In the process of opening one falls at least 500 feet and then parachute holds him completely. My colleague's parachute was partially open when he reached the ground.
Really he was an asset of ours and his departure is an irreparable loss for us and our wing.

Regards!
