Unbelievable .... but true

An Indian discovered that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the computer which can be named as "CON". This is something pretty
cool...and unbelievable... At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill
Gates, couldn't answer why this happened! :D

TRY IT NOW! IT WILL NOT CREATE "CON " FOLDER

Well, it retained its name as new folder. Don't know y?????????

It might be a reserved word or a system folder that already exists but not visible.

does anyone know..............

Because CON is a reserved word originally used with the DOS Mode command

eg if you start up a DOS window via typing command in the START > RUN window

And click on the button to full screen you can then type:

mode con cols=40 to make the width of the screen only 40 characters instead of the normal 80

mode con lines=50 to make the screen display 50 lines of text instead of the normal 25

mode con cols=80 lines=25 will get it back to normal

The CON refers to console.
