View Admin At welcome Screen By default windows XP doesn't show the Administrator in the user list at the welcome screen. Here's a way to get around it. Now head up to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu rrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\Userlist create a new DWORD entry and name it as Administrator and change its value to 1. exit and reboot for the changes to take effect. To change it back change its value to 0 or simply delete the key.

Google Calculator
Amazing thing i noticed yesterday, most of you may already know it.. Google search box is not only the search engine but a calculator too.. just put an equation like 2+23= into the search box and see the result. it detects an equation and resolves it first before going to the web-wide search.. I really appreciate the Google ideas and efforts!!

How to lock a XP folder without using any software
Copy the following codes and paste it into notepad. Save that file with an extension ".bat". ie: locker.bat Double click it to create a folder locker. A new folder named Locker would be formed at the same location. Brings all the files you want to hide in the locker folder. Double click the batch file to lock the folder namely Locker. If you want to unlock your files, double click the batch file again and you would be prompted for password. Enter the right password and enjoy access to the folder. Actually, commercial software "Folder Lock" uses the same method to lock/unlock folders. You may also consider compiling this batch file to obtain an executable (.exe) file. Code: cls @echo off title Folder Locker if EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCK if NOT EXIST Locker goto MDLOCKER :CONFIRM echo Are You Sure You Want to Lock This Folder(Y/N) set/p "cho=>" if %cho%==Y goto LOCK if %cho%==y goto LOCK if %cho%==n goto END if %cho%==N goto END echo Invalid Choice. goto CONFIRM :LOCK ren Locker "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" echo Folder Locked goto End :UNLOCK echo Enter Password to Unlock Folder set/p "pass=>" if NOT %pass%==type your password here goto FAIL attrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" Locker echo Folder Unlocked Successfully goto End :FAIL echo Invalid Password goto end :MDLOCKER md Locker echo Locker Created Successfully goto End

Watch Movies in Ms Paint !
Hey guys, did you know that you can REALLY watch movies in paint ? Here's what you gotta do : > Open your favorite movie player and play the move (I played the .mpg format in Winamp) > Hit "PrintScreen", keep playing the movie in the player, dont stop it. > Open MsPaint. > Select "Edit>Paste" Or Hit "CTRL+V" > Presto! You can watch movies in Paint! > But there are no Pause, Next, Previous, Stop etc. buttons > Spead this fact to all your friends and show how COOL things you can do with Paint! > Experiment with other formats too, it doesn't play DivX , Flash movies, etc. Microsoft hasn't revealed this i think. MsPaint is GREAT
