Android vs windows

respectful members what is the basic difference between the two. why is android more popular nowadays?

talalz3 Sunday, June 03, 2012 12:48 PM

Android gives the user better customization options and has more freedom than windows phone. The Android play store has a lot of apps but windows phones have a very meagre share of the apps. I suggest you go for android.

actually android is open source OS so there's lot of applications available free of cost and its popularity is increasing reciprocally all around the telecom world !

Basic advantage of Android is that it is open source, it can be customized, its application programs can be developed and enhanced by any developer. Integration of components can be done at any level by any user with out any copy rights restriction. Windows on the other hand is a product of Microsoft who owns its complete rights, it can not be customized on source code level. but being a stable product with availability of official support from MS windows can not be cornered.

What do you mean by that...?
Android is an open source OS for mobile phones. If you like scripting you can do it with android but when it comes to CSS preparations, I don't see any remarkable relevance. If you are pointing towards stuff-surfing? yes, that is an option and you can avail it through it.

:con
Again it depends on the mobile you are using. There comes a range of android mobiles, best one is HTC, followed by samsung, SonyEricsson etc. In my opinion HTC is the best among all android based phones for browsing (based on my own experience). But on non-Android side you have iPhone which is also a better device for surfing. So its not only the OS but hardware that matters.

@ talalz & mudasr

Are you suggesting that i can create custom application to fit my needs? or such applications can always be had from already present pool of applications (of whatever application i can think is already there)?

@ Farhad

A little question, 'are you using android for replying in the thread'?
