Default Google Adsense on MOD Website
Hi Friends,

I am surprised to see Google Adsense on "Govt of Pakistan - Ministry of Defence website".

Question comes in mind - Is it by the webmaster who is using his Adsense account here on MOD Site? Or MOD has allowed these ads?

This site is supposed to announce vacancies in Intelligence Dept including ISI.

Oh - So you think that Official Govt sites should display ads on their websites? Please give me an example other than Pakistan where adsense is being used on official govt websites.

What will be the difference between Official and Non Official websites then? Official websites are not supposed to use "Ads" and the sites for commercial purpose.

I don't know whether they are "supposed" to use Google Ads or not but to me their is nothing wrong to generate some revenue from these high traffic websites to at least support the cost of maintenance of the website.Country needs revenues,badly.

Though they must take care of two things:
1)Not to bombard the sites with ads.
2)Should filter the ads to display ads of authentic and well-reputed agencies and companies.

This is my personal opinion.

The webmasters of the Official websites are govt employed - they get their compensation from govt, not from these ads. As per my Info, these ads are being displayed by the web admin of the website

Not sure if the site in question is official since most of the government sites will have a .gov.pk extension. If you find google ads on gov sites, it is more likely that the webmaster is doing it without the authorities consent and such sites should be reported.

This is Official website - as I mentioned it is used to recruit in MOD. AD ISI, Sub Inspector in Intelligence agencies etc etc

Dear no need to be emotional, it seems MOD has asked a third party to host this page and they are not hosting it themselves on government's .gov.pk servers . Or maybe MOD does not make any announcements on the internet, it is some good fellow who is using this site for the good of all . In any case, they can use google ad-sense
