Usb 2.0 gives a top transfer speed of 480 mbit/sec whereas usb 3.0 can reach a maximum of 5 gbit/sec. It depends what ports are available in your computer

dear, usb is just a carrier of data not something like a live cct. the speed of transfer of data totally depends on the configuration of your computer and the type of data you are going to shift. however, usb having large capacity of storage like more than 8 gb can store data easily.
