Value of Virtual University degree

Hi,

I want to enroll in masters program of VU, however, I am concerned whether it is worth it? What about credibility of the university and the chances of getting a job with VU degree?

I am not sure about your whereabouts but VU is considered as a low category university for all degree programs in Karachi. There is no credibility of this brand name and chances will remain low for VU graduates. You should enroll yourself into a regular degree program with a big brand name.

I strongly disagree with your reply
I have seen lots of vu graduates at good posts.
It is credible than most of the private universities.

If you want to enroll in a technical course like computer science then the value of the degree doesn't matter much because mostly only the skills of a person are checked in interviews. If you have a degree from LUMS or FAST and can't answer technical interview questions correctly then you will not be hired no matter what.

But if you want to do MBA or some generic degree like that then I agree with the above poster.

But a word of caution, I myself am a VU graduate so I can assure you that if you do not have the will to study all alone and all by yourself without any friends' or teacher's help then you wouldn't learn much in this university. Lekin pass ho jao gi that's for sure.

There is much value of VU. I am also student of VU, i saw many graduates of VU are doing jobs on higher posts.

I did my previous Degree from VU, now I'm also a Gov't job holder ALHAMDU_LILLAH.

One more thing, now many universities (Virtual Comsat etc) are starting Virtual Classes like Virtual University. If there is low

value of VU then i don't think so other universities follow VU's steps.
