Masters in Computer Science along with Android Development
 

Salaam,
I am applying for Masters in CS and SE in various universities this year, I graduated last year from a reputed university but I didn't have any experience whatsoever in my field (no coding experience, just passed the subjects out of luck and strategies using professor's past examination pattern). Three months into post-graduation, I realized that I have to start from scratch, learned the basics of Java including OOP, minimal data structures, networking via REST API's and database design using SQLite. I have a fairly good experience in Android Development (5 months) and I found a strong affinity towards programming practices and methodologies and I still regret not finding that passion during my undergraduate years.
I cannot change my past but I can change my future with the help of Allah, I have no experience in Algorithms, Operating Systems (although on a basic level, I do) and Computer Architecture. I can cover these subjects on MOOCs but is it worth it to pursue a degree just to improve my academic standing, can I tackle my job in Android Development with Masters in CS from a well reputed university like NUST, FAST etc. If a person is not well acquainted with the subjects discussed above, can he learn them during his masters degree provided he spend an extra hour or two from online sources on the weekend.
