Hello Friends!

Many people on this forum are asking for help as how they should do the preparation of MA English (especially from Punjab University),some are sending private messages to me as well. Well, the course, the books are available in the market. NKM books can be consulted. Though the material in these books is not of high quality, but still sufficient to carry u through the exam. All u have to do is to prepare right questions from each book, here u need some guidance. I am posting all the questions related to these books in the course prescribed by Punjab University.

There are five papers in Part 1 and five in part 2.
Each paper has 5 to 6 authors and u should prepare minimum 4 authors of each paper in order to attempt 100% paper (as you have to attempt minimum 4 questions in each paper and usually, at least one question is asked from each book). So if u prepare 4 authors of each paper u can attempt that paper.

Prepare the following questions and consult past papers to know the paper pattern. It will be beneficial to u.

what about linguistics's course and i m appearing from sargodha uni thats y too mch involv and i hav to study all thebooks throughly becoz of objectives and if u let me know about linguistics.

Well i posted all these questions while keeping in view the course of Punjab University, so can't say what u got in your Linguistics course. I will post important questions of Linguistics as well, but that would be according to the course of Punjab University. Moreover university doesn't matter a lot. If u got same books and authors, the same questions will be asked from u.

As far as objectives are acocerned, u can prepare them by reading the deatiled synopses of the novels,that will be sufficient, but where plays are concerned u should read them thoroughly.

regarding the studies and books and subjects of LINGUISTICS,,, i strongly suggest you to consult any student of NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF MODERN LANGUAGES (NUML) because they are offering 10 subjects in Literature and 10 subjects in Linguistics........ i have done MA ENGLISH from NUML,,,, so that's why i am asking to get assist from any NUMLIAN...... they know better about the linguistics subjects

I am doing MA English but my English spelling and grammar is not good. MA is English is very benefical as it not only introduce you with the world prevailed comunication tool i.e obviously English language but it is also assist you in preparation of CSS and other compitition papers and this mimmic society of Pakistan in which when some heighly illeterate person utter few words of English they consider him as very educated one thats why I am doing MA English and an other reason for doing MA English is that I love literature. I am doing MA English from Hazara University and the syllabus of this university is same as of Peshawar university.It is comprise on following papers;

PAPER 1 HISTORY OF ENGLISH LITERATURE
From era of Anglo-Saxon to Modren Era

PAPER 2 INTRODUCTION TO ENGLISH LITERATURE
Genres of prose and poetry and their charateristics figure of speech , literary movements , Bibilical and mythical background etc

PAPER 3 POETRY I
Geoferry Chacure :- Prologue to Canterbury tales
Shakespear:- Sonnets
John Done:- Selected Poems
John Milton:- Paradise Lost
Alexander Pope:- Rape of the lock
(there are total 11 poets but i also revealed the names of important one which are sufficent for passing the paper)

PAPER 4 PROSE
Fransic Bacon Essays
Charles Lamb Essays of Elia
Jonathan Swift Gulliver's Travell
John Milton Aeropagatica
Methew Arnold Essays in criticism
(There are 8 writers but in the above lines name of important one are shown)

PAPER 5 LINGUSTICS
any thing about English Language and Grammar

I am in previous so i do not now concern with the subjects of final so i do not trouble to write the subjects of MA English final thats all!

I have bee the student of MA English and now a days teaching same at Hazara University. Well! so far preparation and understanding of English literature and language is concern, one can not do it without developing his personal love and interest in the subject. Literature is not something to mug up from books rather it is something to feel. If anyone needs any help regarding any course of MA english except stylistics I would love to be there.

mosvi as u r doing masters in English and Danish as u r teacher of the same subject in Hazara Uni. I want help please..
(1) Can u guide me about important material as i want to do selective study?
(2) Can you send me some notes of this subject?
(3) Can you suggest some gud books?
as i am appearing as a private candidate so i need guidance even about a minor point.will welcome l00 times. I have posted many requests for notes and guidance regarding material but even i havn't got some positive response except redmax who is MA English from Sindh.

you are presenting Dr. Faustus notes but on the thread there is not any link appeared in your post. I registered myself in PU for M.A English and need some help. if you not bother than please send me the links of better notes and uploaded file of your good self if you have any
