hi.i have done masters in english literature at my own without any guide or tuition as a private candidate last year.and i can guarantee that my notes are more than enough to pass M.A english in 1st division.my notes are going to be published by jehangir publishers very soon.they are concise and to the point as it has a lot of stuff from different sources.give me your contact or tell how you want to have them.just remember in prayers for css 2010

Ist division through annual system from Punjab university is a myth.

Yes other universities are distributing 1st division. The one who fails form PU gets 1st division from other universities

Literature is the only subject which covers many others, like philosophy, psychology, history ,religions, politics ,ethics etc.It may not be of your taste but keep in mind that no knowledge is useless.

you should see results of punjab uni for M.a english private candidates having 1 division.so its not a myth n please not discourage others.

True. Those who get First Division can be counted on fingers. Figure hardly goes beyond 5. High First Division is near to impossible. In the history of PU, only 2 managed to get High First Division. One is Shaista Zaid, the new caster, and second is a gentleman whose name I have forgotten.

Oops my mistake that I didnt clarify. Nothings wrong with separate critical study books by NKM. There are Master Guides by NKM for every genre and my reservation is for those NKM Master Guides.

Hi to all,

I agree with Ms Island. Punjab University is not generous in terms of marks awarded to the private students. As their regular students are studying under semester system, they get more than 70% marks.
I got 67 in Novel and 68 in Linguistics as a private candidate, but i can't understand why they could not give me the same level of marks in other subjects. In all, I secured 271.
Do not trust PU for first division, but they sure can make u study hard.
