Default Which Universties offer M.A English in Islamabad.
Hello,
I need to ask people knowing about the Capital that which are those universities in Islamabad which are offering Masters In English Literature or Linguistics.
I know only 1 that is NUML.

Pls answer.

I have B.A in hand and plan to do Masters regularly (Islamabad). I had English Literature as an Optional in B.A, Would that be of any help IF not interested in doing the English Advanced Diploma (Prerequisite for M.A English Linguistics and Literature at NUML.)

As per my knowledge, diploma is not pre-requisite for MA english, provided that university has not changed its criteria. However I will confirm it and will let you know in detail.

Yes i have searche about QAU and Iqra university, no one offering MA English.
Foundition university is a project of fauji foundition. Visit that link:

www.fui.edu.pk

As far as Al-Khair university is concerned i am not sure about its affiliation with HEC. Its written in website but confirm it. Because Al-Khair university was criticized regarding this issue last year.

Anyway Numl is best university for MA English.

Look at the Al-Khair University in the Azad Jammu Kashmir tab (Second Last). Its has two stars. And in the start of the page, the meaning of these two stars is mentioned which is "Not Allowed to Admit Students Beyond April 30, 2009"

i have done Masters in English from NUML...you don't need any kindda diploma for getting admission in Masters....i neither did any diploma nor opted English Literature in B.A...still i managed to take admission there...you just have to pass the written test and interview..which would not be very difficult.

i would suggest you to take admission in NUML...the teachers are quite good(except afew)
