Default University of London International LLB Programme

Dear CSS Forum members,

Is here anyone studying with UoL's external programme in Law who may help me with first hand information. According to their website, for admission to LLB programme you must have passed A Levels in three subjects after GCE O Level. Since I have studied under local system so I am not eligible to apply for it. However, there is a graduate route by which you can complete LLB in 2 years. Now my query is whether they will accept a 2 years BA/BSc degree from a Pakistani university for admission in international LLB program through graduate route or not?

Many Pakistani students are undertaking UoL's programmes so if you are one of them, your help in this regard will be welcomed.

Thank You

You can apply for admission into the Diploma in Law. It is essentially the same as the LL.B, but specially catered for those students who have a non-A level background. After your first year, if you pass, you will be awarded a "Diploma in Law" and after that, you will join the regular LL.B route in your second year.

In short, it is the same as the LL.B - 3 years duration, same subjects and same exams.

You cannot apply for the Graduate entry route since the UoL does not recognize a 2 year Bachelors.

However, for admission into the Diploma in Law programme, you can only join an Institute which is recognized to issue the Diploma. Currently, in Pakistan, this is offered by TILS, ISL, UCI, UCL and Szabist. This also means that you cannot take the exam as a private student. It must be through an Accredited Institution. You can check the UoL website for the full list of Institutes qualified to issue the Diploma in Law.
