Mba (szabist vs cbm)????
 

Hello everyone, i have recently completed my 16 years of education and want to take admission in MBA but i am very much confused between SZABIST and CBM that which one of them is better for doing MBA???:blink:

Please help me in this matter :con

SZABIST.. and if you can really afford SZABIST then i think you can afford IBA too... then go for IBA...

I am also going to do my MBA as I have also completed my BBa(hons). I am going to apply iba sukkur! The institution is ranked on 4th no. I think it's better than szabst? I do not know about CBM. If you have good knowledge then do share here as I am also too confused.:cry

Ist of all IBA is expensive than szabist and in IBA 2 years work experience is must for mba.

I have searched little bit about the CBM, and I think CBM is better than szabist and its time period is also shorter than szabist. Once in a job advertisement I had noticed that a well know organization mentioned that preferences will be given to IBA, LUMS or CBM graduates.
[B]Regarding me:[/B]I was thinking about IBA sukkur but its time period is more than CBM. Iba sukkur offer 2 years mba program.
Now like you I have also started to think about CBM but the problem is that i m from rural sindh. Don't know whether they offer hostel facilities or not, can anyone tell about it??

I dont have confirm information about the experience but as far as I know, experience is needed for Executive MBA not for normal MBA, as if you are doing MBA in morning then who will allow you to complete your studies during working hours.

also there is not much difference in the fees of SZABIST i.e 103,500/- and IBA 114,200/- both are per semester.

SZABIST provides different fees for different MBAs as there are different programs of MBA available.

I dont think so that there is any relationship between IBA Sukkar and IBA Karachi, CBM is the more appropriate option.

I've studied at SZABIST as well as at CBM (IoBM). While I was selected in first batch announced by IBA Sukkur (during its affiliation with IBA Karachi) but didnt opt for it.

Lets talk about SZABIST:
Good faculty, ranked among 10 best business schools of Asia from some magazine and you will see PhD faculty at large along with boring campus environment esp at Karachi, while Larkana and Islamabad campus are well equipped. SZABIST organize quite good programs for student enhancement.

Now CBM (IoBM)

A modern campus with lets techniques, Phd as well as young faculty of international exposure, ranked Pakistan's 2nd best business school by PALM(dont know exact name). There are many societies at CBM, Marketing, SHRS, Media etc where they organize programs, a well equipped library of more than 20,000 books consisting 3 stories along with a very big 2 story student activity center where you will see modern facilities for students, a good gym, table-tennis hall, chess room, big canteen, a big parking for your cars and CBM is central air-conditioned.
And Management organize recruitment tests at CBM so its quite easy for students to get jobs there.
Further view this latest video of CBM made by BBA-MBA students in an activity in which they are defeating LUMS-IBA-SZABISt from last 2 consecutive years.

My vote, CBM if you can afford modern and updated life.

if you want to have fun and good campus life then go for CBM, but if you want to learn and seek knowledge of corporate culture and want a good job then opt SZABIST..

and other thing if you want to pursue Marketing as majors then CBM, but if Finance or HRM then must go to SZABIST

go for zabist and off course one of wise member suggested you before iba will be best if you go for it.

Two years experience is must for IBA , whether you are morning student or evening student . This year they exempted BBA(IBA) 's students from this experience requirement.
