should i quit mba and do MA eng

AOA, Dear seniors I am in need of urgent career counseling.I did BBA(hons) and i have just started MBA apart of that i am also preparing for css exam.I am turning to 26 and only left with 2 consecutive attempts 2013 & 2014.I have observed that candidates with MA english background easily pass Css exams because literature give them the strength of analysis and teach them the tactics of expressing their thoughts beautifully.Therefore i am thinking to quit Mba for a while and go for MA eng because it will pave the way for Css and in case if i fail in css i will continue my Mba and join family business.I am so confused Please tell me is it a wise decision or i am going to make a big mistake:confused

let me tell you one thing that MA English is not the key to pass CSS. every one of those who have passed CSS are not Master in English.
another point is that, if you dont's succeed in CSS, than once again will retun to MBA. very strange i think.
i suggest not to leave MBA and start preparition of CSS.

If you dont have a high level of reference, MBA is useless. and even if you get job on the basics of MBA, that is not so charming as compared to CSS.

I suggest you should go for CSS and should quit MBA for the time being. Further instead of falling into the MA English, it would be better if you join an English teacher and fully concentrate on CSS preparation.

Once again let me mention, MBA Engg type of jobs are not so attractive and charming as the CSS is. I am a 17 grade Govt Officer in an Engineering firm, but these are just jobs, not great jobs.

I suggest to continue your MBA.Suppose you don't get allocation then your MBA degree will be covering.You would be able to secure a job.There are more job opportunities for an MBA as compared to MA english.So don't be silly and concentrate on your MBA.

well i am assuming the length of the MBA is 1 year for you as you have a 4 year bachelor degree so stick to it and the only thing that has the assurance of success is commitment.
and i agree with kamran don't just burn the boats

Let's consider facts;

1)M.A English will take 2 years and you want to take Css exam in 2013 so will you like to study for lengthy syllabus of M.A or for CSS?

2)As admission of private M.A has closed this year so you will have to wait for next year to take exam.You Css exam will be in Feb.while M.A Exam will be in June.How will it be beneficial for you regarding CSS?

3)My other fellow members have rightly said,M.A English is not a key to pass CSS.Just graduate candidates have also qualified it.

Now here comes my suggestion,you should not think of M.A English right now.I think you should also put your MBA aside if it becomes an obstruction for CSS.

You have only 2 years for CSS while MBA can be done at any stage(Considering the fact that you will not suffer professionally or financially as you have family business)

Decision will be yours.

All the best !
