I have heard that this university is for professionals because it arranges class once a week on sunday.I want to know whether it is good enough to join for M.Phil or not?

Farrah, I dint have any personal experience of the said University, but it is one of good University in Lahore. And I must prefer it for Mphil.

aslamalikum dear are you going to take admission in it . i am also trying to get admission in m.phil but all Govt.universities demand 1st division or more than 50% marks even in English .you are in lahore ??/ can you get information about it? if you get detail of it please let me know too

Every university have deferent criteria (as it is decided in university syndicate). Most of Governmental Universities allowed only those candidates who have 1st class (A or B grade at least up to 60%)

yar i am govt employee i wnat to do M PHIL i have 60 percent marks GAT is necessary for M PHIL plz giude me in this regard

It depends on Univeristy rules. Mainly (not all) National Universties conduct their own entrence test. But if you have good score in GAT then you have no need to appear in the entrence test, just submit the score.

you didnt mention, in which field of study you want to do your m.phil. Secondly, if your masters score is good enough to get admission in other universities like, p.u, gcu, comsats, kinnaird college, lahore college, u.s.a, uol etc, you should definiitely secure your admission in some other university, instead of minhaj university. I would suggest u should Google for some other university that offers m.phil in your subject.

W.salam ! Not all universities ask for 50% marks.These Universities allow second div,

Punjab University
Lahore college for women University
Bahaudin Zakariya University
Air University Islamabad

And there are some other too.I would suggest you to google it.


GAT is must for admission in M.phil.


M.Phil English Literature.

Well,I recently cleared written test for Punjab University.Out of 162 only 28 were passed.I appeared in interview but in the final merit list,only 9 candidates have been given admission.What can I do ?

Kinnaird asked for 3 years teaching experience that I don't have.

GCU's criteria is 50% marks that I don't have.Besides,it's really hard to get admission there.

U.S.A and U.O.L don't offer M.phil in English.

I will apply for LCWU but its admissions are not open yet.

Now,the reason behind taking interest in Minhaj is that I'm expecting to get appointment letter for a very good job.I don't want to let it go,that's why,I want to join the university that offers class once a week.

so why don't you look for NUML. I think it has the culture that is very conducive to English literature scholars and you would find very interactive environment over there.
