Firstly, i'm not brother i'm sister :-) and You are most welcome !
You should go for Masters in English from NUML, you can easily do it because where there is will there is a way. Now it is up to you.
I'm also preparing for it, for ambiguities and guidance i'm available.

In P2 you have to choose Phonetics or Phonology / Grammer, Syntax and Semantics, tell me what you have chosen then i'll tell you about books...

Well for P1 you have to go through thoroughly History portion, for this i recommend you A critical History of English Literature by David Daiches & A history of English Literature by Michael Alexander. You have to memorize dates, important events, eras, authors, poets, dramatists etc...

For phonetics & phonology, you have to understand the basic concepts, for this you are supposed to digest all the recommended books in syllabus i,e.. Phonology by Lass, Teaching English Pronunciation by Joanne Kenworthy, An outline of English Phonetics by D. Jones, English Phonetics and Phonology by Peter Roach, English Pronunciation Dictionary 14th edition by D.Jones.
You can get all these books from NUML book bank along with C.D for Phonetics and Phonology having audio lectures.

P1 consists of two ortions History & Literary Criticism, A Quintessence of Literary Criticism by NUML is more than enough. I've uploaded some notes also see [URL]http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-optional-subjects/group-i/english-literature/70169-literary-criticism-numl-notes.html[/URL]

Can anyone tell mee. i need some informations....what is the procedure for getting enrolled in M.A English part 1 as an external student???? Can we get admission in another university in M.Phill in Eng if we have degree in M.A Eng from numl as an external student???? Kindly help........if someone who have bought books of M.A English external part 1 from numl and in any case don't need them then can he/she return it to numl book bank or sale them in any shop????
