How is software Engineering?

[COLOR="SeaGreen"][B][FONT="Arial Black"]Hi, Friends.

I have passed the entrance test of Mehran University with the blessings of Allah and prayers of relatives and friends. I hope, I will be given my first choice which is SOFTWARE ENGINEERING.
I want to ask you all, how is software engineering? What is its scope and how will it be in future? Should I go for it?

According to my knowledge, out of pakistan i.e USA and Europe they do not recognize soft engg as an engg degree. In pakistan if you are good at soft engg you may get good job in IT industry.
