No No journalism is not practical.
As a private student the issue arises of practicals.
But now every university has its own creteria.
Some universities allowed practical subjects
But journalism is allowed in every university.
you can got registration as journalism as a optional.

But, according to my knowledge, some recommendations have been made in the PU's syndicate's recent meeting about the inclusion of Journalism Masters degree for private candidates but the notification has not been issued yet.
It would be better to contact PU's registration branch for confirmation, directly.
